Jom TENGOK (VIRAL GAMBAR) POLITEKNIK KUCHING SARAWAK (2018)

Politeknik Kuching Sarawak (PKS) ditubuhkan pada tahun 1987. Penubuhannya selaras dengan objektif untuk menampung keperluan sumber tenaga kerja terlatih dalam memenuhi aspirasi negara ke arah perindustrian, seterusnya meningkatkan daya saing dalam pasaran dunia. Pada peringkat awal penubuhannya, PKS beroperasi di sebuah bangunan rumah kedai di Simpang Tiga, Kuching dengan peneraju utamanya Encik Mustapa Bin Mohamed sebagai Pengetua pertama.


Perkembangannya diikuti pemilihan kampus tetap oleh Kementerian Pembangunan Perindustrian Negeri Sarawak dengan kerjasama Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia iaitu di kawasan Lot 88 Matang Land District sebagai kampus tetap PKS dengan keluasan tanah seluas 112 ekar. 


Terletak kira-kira 23 kilometer dari pusat Bandaraya Kuching serta kedudukannya di Gunung Serapi dan bersebelahan dengan Taman Negara Kubah memberikan satu persekitaran yang sesuai dan kondusif untuk pembelajaran dan pengajaran serta perkembangan sahsiah pelajar.
